A couple of weeks ago I had my Hostess Club Make and Take and Card Club on the same night. The group made a couple of tags and a card. You can't see it very well but on the card I used the modern label punch on the right side. It might have been a good idea to ink the edges. I just punched 2 punches and then cut them in half. This was a technique I saw at regionals.

My Stamp Space

If you are like me, you like to see where others stamp and create. Well I got my space cleaned up enough that I thought I would share where I stamp and create. I don't have a ton of space, but it works for me. Maybe one day I'll have a whole room (wouldn't that be awesome!).

My desk. Was Shane's grandpa's desk. I'm very blessed to have been given this. Check out the cool chair. I love having my big shot on the desk. Its my favorite tool.

My supply closet. I had other plans for this closet, but things have evolved. I think I'll put the closet rod back up and maybe come up with a system to hang "things" from it. The rest of the pictures are close ups of all my stuff.

4th of July Flip Flops

Today our neighborhood has its annual 4th of July parade. My oldest daughter loves getting dressed up for it. A couple of weeks ago I got a truck load of flip flops for her her for only.80 each. So I pulled out the red ones today to make 4th of July flip flops. I got to thinking she would only be able to wear them on the 4th. So instead of attaching the stars directly to them, I attached them to clips that can be clipped onto the flip flop and taken off when she wants to wear the red ones without the stars. I can't take credit for this idea. I'm planning something later with this very concept, so I wont' go into details. But I wanted to give Emily a shout out for coming up with the idea.

And here they are on her sweet feet.

I found myself today with only one child and she was sleeping. I knew this was God handing me some special creative time for me. And well thank you mom for taking my big girl to the movies. So with all this time on my hands I said to myself you are definitely going to make at least one card with the new goodies from SU!

So here it is...Because I Care.

I used several new items that will be available in the new catalog. Because I Care Hostess Level 1 stamp set, Daffodil Delight CS, 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon and Vintage Wallpaper Textures Impressions Folder.

First off I want to say, love, love the 1/8" ribbon. Perfect for cards that are being mailed. Very sophisticated and elegant. The Daffodil Delight is just that a delight...such a wonderful color. The Vintage Wallpaper Textures Impressions Folder is right up my ally. And last but not least the Because I Care stamp set. Let me just tell you. This was not something I was excited about. It was free when I purchased the new color kit. I thought it was an okay set, wrong....love it! So back to why it was free. Bridal Luncheon

Today was the Bridal Luncheon for my soon to be niece in law. Here are the invitations and here are the favors.

The flowers die is a new fav. I made two of each in Certainly Celery, Orchid Opulence, So Saffron, and Pretty in Pink. I used a strip of the Shades of Spring DSP to accent the top and finished the flowers off with a rhinestone brad and a stamped "for you."

I was going for a retro 50's kitchen feel. Did I achieve it?

Normally the members each host it at their house every other month. The hostess make two cards and the rest of us just show up. However, one of our members is moving away (sniff sniff). I'm going to miss you Sara. I thought it would be fun if we each made a card for Sara's last card club get-together. I will try to post the other cards very soon.

Shades of Spring Bridal Luncheon Invitations

My mom is hosting a bridal luncheon for my nephews fiance in a couple of weeks. She asked me to create the invitations. Of course I wanted to use something fresh and cheery. I had a ton of the Shades of Spring DSP and thought it would be perfect.
